She is survived by: her mother Esperanza Melendez; her husband Kumar Persad; her children, Natalie Persad (Anthony Zeno), Kumar Persad Jr. (Ronneisha Brodhead), Nadia Persad and Gerald Malia; her siblings, Lillian Garcia, Albert Vegerano, Elizabeth Garcia, Jesus Lopez, Nolberto Lopez, Marcus Lopez, Cindy Lopez, Sam Rivera, Michelle Rivera, Gina Vegerano and Sara Vegerano; and her grandchildren, Jazzon Foster, Valencia Zeno, Alessandra Zeno, Kiarah Persad, Jahier Persad, Camryn Lemon, Jeremiah Lemon, Kiyah Bullock, Jaylen Weiss and Brooklyn Persad. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery (205 W O'Reilly St, Kingston, NY 12401).
