She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smith Sr. and Patricia E. Herzog (Dubois); her brother Robert Smith Jr.; and her grandson Shakur Delavante Townsend. She is survived by: her close friend Sheila Jones; her granddaughter Ayana Elizabeth Davidson; her children, Fallan Amore Herzog, Ciearra Peace Herzog, Tarrah Rae Hope Herzog, Lea Joy Herzog, Nile Faith Herzog, Samara Spirit Herzog and Serenity Soul Herzog; and her siblings, Darrell Urbank, Rachell Smith, Corey Smith and Dana Yancy.
