He was predeceased by: his parents, Karlton W. Bowers and Katherine Bowers (Groeters). He is survived by: his wife Olga Bowers; his son Maxim Shkurygin; and his sister Kathy Grace Cunningham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery (81 Plains Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561).
Karlton volunteered with Operation Carelift, a Christian charity dedicated to sending aid and toys to children in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia.
