He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Zehnick and Delta Zehnick; his wife Jean "Cookie" Zehnick; his siblings, Rosie Rosencranse, Buzzy Smith, Tommy Zehnick, Betsy Felt, Eileen Gaebel and Rusty Zehnick; and his grandson John Zehnick.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Zehnick (Ada), Sherri Pape (late Stephen Bailey), Terri "Poody" Carey (Jeff), John "Muds" Zehnick (Stephanie) and Artie Zehnick (Judy); his grandchildren, Amy, Michael Pape, Jessica, CJ Carey, Jade Shumen, Joey Zehnick, Amanda Weiss and Chloe Zehnick; and his sisters, Sharon Fillpowicz, Dolores Banks of Esopus and Harriet Zehnick of Kerhonkson. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
