It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Shults Jr. (Kingston, New York), who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Shults and Elizbeth Shults. He is survived by: his former wife Elizabeth "Betty" Salzmann; his children, John "Pete" Shults III (Sarah), Elizabeth "Liz" Berardi and Barbara Loughran; his former wife Mary Loughran; his wife Joy Morrow Nulton; his friend John Morrow; his sister Melanie; his grandchildren, Eugene, Alexander and Carter Berardi; his children, Anne Shults O'Brien (Westen), Kate Shults Dammer (Tim), Daniel Shults (Skyler), Libby Loughran Giannone (Bill), Emily and Clair Loughran; and his sisters, Carolyn Millonig and Janet McCoubrey.
John was an active member of our community including service on the Boards of Key Bank, the Kingston City Schools, the Kingston Library, Gateway Community Industries, the Hudson River Maritime Center, the Kingston Hospital Foundation.
