He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Chick, and John Louis Chick, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brode Chick; his daughters, Jill Reed (Howard) of Oneonta and Susanna Clavelli (Victor) of Stamford, CT; his grandchildren, Hunter Reed (Miles Jahnke), Daniel, Jack and Cameron Clavelli; and his brother Santo Perry.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. (27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A procession was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (242 Wall St, Kingston, NY 12401). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (903 Elting Rd, Rosendale, NY 12472).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in John's memory to The Alzheimer's Association, a cause meaningful to John and his family.
