He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Boyd, Sr. and Naomi Boyd (Bruff); his son Michael Boyd; and his siblings, George Boyd and Mary Kessler.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Boyd of Palmyra, VA and Chris Boyd (Julie) of Kingston; his grandchildren, Brad Boyd (Courtney Winne) and Caitlin Boyd; and his nephews, John and Robert Kessler.
