She was predeceased by: her father Sam Lowery; her children, Samuel Louis, Arthur Lee and Terri Dean Knox; and her sisters, Macie L. Bagley, Frances J. Wilson and Joanna Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Ann Knox of Gastonia, Ethel Lavonne Knox of Kingston and Richard Earl Knox (Margie) of Kingston; and her siblings, Nathaniel Lowery (Lena) of Winston Salem, Zenobia E. Campbell, Bertha L. Lowery of Gastonia and Carrie E. Lowery of New York. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, and 50 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
