He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmal Jackson and Fanny Clover Jackson; and his sister-in-law Gal Fann. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hollingsworth; his children, Roy E. Jackson, Jr., Michael Jackson (Judy), Denise Jackson (Danny) and Delores Crima (Jimmy); and his siblings-in-law, Doc Hollingsworth (Jeanne), Margaree Hollingsworth and Lalon Hollingsworth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great grandsons.
