It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George A. Vliet of King Ferry, New York, born in Ithaca, New York, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Vliet and Marjorie Rundle Vliet; and his siblings, Donald, David Vliet and Claudia McGee.

He is survived by: his children, Reenie Brown of Auburn and James Vliet; and his stepchildren, Marcia Bakouris (George) of King Ferry, Kenyon Alexander (Marlene) of Romulus and Martin Alexander (Grace). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his cat, Buddy.
