He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Miles Fitzgerald; his children, James Fitzgerald (Jennifer Mazur) of Rosendale and Carrie Sirico (Anthony) of Kerhonkson; his brother Glenn Fitzgerald (Elaine) of Kingston; his grandchildren, Robin, Miranda, Joseph Sirico, Charlotte and Colter Mazur; and his close friend Ava. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
