He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry N. Holt, Sr. and Shirley A. Beardsley Holt; and his aunt Charlotte Beardsley. He is survived by: his wife Ellen C. Cole Holt; his children, Megan Anderson (Bradley) of Jamestown, Erica Holt (Michael Hartman) of Sunmam, IN, Emily Viel (Jacob) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Larissa Catanese (Randall) of Sinclairville, Joshua Zeiders-Weber (Erin) of Jamestown and Brienna Weber of Frewsburg; his grandchildren, Kinsley Anderson, Thomi Viel, Stephen Viel, Aiden Weber, Kaede Zeiders-Weber, Emelia Catanese, Bjorn Zeiders-Weber, Bryan Catanese and Karri Frank; and his siblings, Rhonda Main (Bruce), Susan Butryn (Walter), Donald Holt (Krista) and Leslie Weber. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
