It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D. Harper (Kenmore, New York), who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice Harper (Campbell); his son James Jr.; his siblings, Alberta Hernandez (late John), Barbara Bamat (late William), William (late Nancy) and Terrance Harper; and his parents, Hazel Harper (Dixon) and James Harper.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Harper (Kathleen), Sheila Harper, Cassandra Schultz (Roger), Sherrill Harper, Brett Harper (Tammy) and Marcy Trietley; and his grandchildren, Heather (Samuel), Bradley, James (Amanda), Charles, Ashley (Samuel), Stephanie (Manuel), Robert, Deanna, Dana, Kim and Brandon. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lester H. Wedekindt, Inc. Funeral Home (3290 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Inc. Funeral Home (3290 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or St. Jude Research Hospital.
