She was predeceased by: her parents, Antoinette Guindon (Gagne) and Edouard Guindon; her husband Lucien Houle of Drummondville; her son David; her granddaughter Carole; and her siblings, Jean Marie, Rock, Edouard, Pierre Guindon, Marie Claire, Marie Jeanne, Madeleine, Rita and Antoinette Guindon.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Luc (Linda) of Champlain, NY, Richard (Gail) of Yuma, AZ and Louise Schmidt (Glenn) of Hudson; her daughter-in-law Cathy Houle of Forsyth; her grandchildren, Richard Houle II, Megan, Katie Houle (Eric Wilcox), Luc (Sarah Alderman), Jesse (Keri) and David Jr. (Alison); her stepgranddaughters, Carrie Sharn (Thomas) and Nicole Quenelle; her great grandchildren, William, Allison Houle and Kiernan Houle; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lily, Patrick, Maggie and Sabrina; and her siblings-in-law, Lizette Guindon, Lionel Cote and Marcel Houle (Aline).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Denise's name to St. Peter's Church, 7 Margaret St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 with their Soup Kitchen specified on the donation.
