He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Napoleon "Buck" Smith; his wife Ada Hare Smith; his mother Anita Leclair Smith; his sisters, Shirley Dixon and Gracelyn Murphy; his brother-in-law Patrick Murphy; his close friend Remington; his siblings, Martha "Marti" Hadley (Leigh) of Saranac Lake, Anita Smith of Savannah Georgia, Kristy McKoy (Curtis) and Travis Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Dixon of Lake Placid and Anita Wilcox of Lewis. He was also cherished by twelve nieces and nephews along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
