She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Nye and Josephine Adams; and her husband Carl Bigelow. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Whitney (Patrick); her grandchildren, Adam Whitney (Farrah), Alison Whitney and Keir DeMars; her great grandchildren, Autumn, Josie, James Whitney, Laela, Jaxine, Juliet, Julius and Lucia Barreto; her siblings, Christine Shepler, Betsy Seifert (Greg) and Spencer Nye; and her sister-in-law Lisa Jaques Nye.
