He is survived by: his parents, Mario Rankel and Carla Rankel; his husband Gertrude Alba Rankel; his children, Robert Rankel (Anne), Katherine Seymour, Carl Rankel and Brian Rankel (Mary K.); his grandchildren, Joseph, Johnathan, Christina, Claire, Daniel, Carla, Sharon and Charlie; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah and Gabriella.
