Vernon Blumer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Blumer (Jordan, New York), born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 13, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Blumer Sr. and Helen Van Buskirk Blumer; his siblings, Ray Blumer, Clarence Blumer Jr., Margaret DiFabion, Marjorie Dewey and Terry Blumer; and his great grandchild Tommie Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Sobles Blumer; his children, Jerry Blumer (Kathy), Marty Blumer (Karen), Peggy Campione (Vic), Kathy Quivey (Richard) and Joann Hofmeister (Michael); and his sister Nancy Schueler. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The First United Methodist Church of Weedsport, Hospice Foundation of Central New York (hospicecny.org/memorial-donation/), or Cayuga County Office for Aging Senior Nutrition Program (AKA Meals on Wheels).
