She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow W. Gumaer and Mary Gumaer (Drogalis); her children, Jodyne Emerson, Thomas McLaughlin and William McLaughlin; and her brother Robert Gumaer.

She is survived by: her children, Michael McLaughlin (Colleen) of Elbridge and Karen McLaughlin; and her granddaughters, Erin Eller, Michelle Emerson, Lisa Tavernia and Jennifer Smith. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
