He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Ackerknecht and Helen Ackerknecht (Riska); his sisters, Lynne Frasier and Donna Lampman; and his nephew Karl Frasier.
He is survived by: his son Scott Ackerknecht; his grandchildren, Sebastian and Brightin Ackerknecht; his brothers, Gary Ackerknecht and Louie Ackerknecht (Pam); his nephew Michael Frasier; and his aunts, Sylvia Cheney and Alice Ackerknecht. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
