He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Ann Majewski Hinkle; his former wife Elizabeth; his sister Patricia Schoonmaker; his in-laws, Charles and Philomena Westfall; his son-in-law Albert J. "Kiddo" Zierak IV; and also, John and Elizabeth Turowski.
He is survived by: his wife Candace Westfall Hinkle; his children, Megan (Zierak) and Justin Hinkle (Jaime) of Norfolk, VA; his siblings, Richard Hinkle of Valatie, Marilyn Negrich (George) of Townsend, MA and Barbara Dennie (Stephan) of Peru, NY; his siblings-in-law, Col. Charles Westfall (Bonita) of Pinckney, MI and Denise Anderson (Richard) of Queensbury; and his grandsons, Albert J. Zierak V and Anthony J. Zierak. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the Wounded Warrier Project, both in care of the funeral home.
