He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie; his stepson Timothy; his grandson Jon Lander; and his cousin Marianne Merritt. He is survived by: his stepsons, Robert Thomas (Beth) and Michael Thomas (Laureen); his grandchildren, Rob (Steffi), Michael, Owen (Serena) and Rachel; and his cousins, Sheila Insalaco (Paul), Cara Morrison and Mark Merritt. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to animal shelters or animal hospitals in Fulton County, in keeping with Ray's love for animals.
