Mildred P. Baker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred P. Baker (Johnstown, New York), who passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred P. Baker to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Zayicek and Mary Ralbovsky Zayicek; her spouse Emmeren Baker; her son Ronald; and her close friend Ernest Kabat.

She is survived by: her children, David Baker (Suzanne) of Albany, Shelley Sanders (David) of Johnstown and Cheryl Curtis (Robert) of Johnstown; her daughter-in-law Eileen Baker; her grandchildren, Laurie Cook (Lew), Tammy Farley (Sam), Amy Buzzelli (Guy), Kristen Willmott (Mike), Nicole Sanders (Andrew), Jordan, Jillian Curtis and Jenna Roth (Dan); and her caregivers, Amy, Megan G., Megan T., Kathy, Jackie and Jan. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Halgas Funeral Home (111 Co Rd 106, Johnstown, NY 12095). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Saint Anthony's Cemetery N. East (2763 NY-29, Johnstown, NY 12095).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital- Springfield or to Mountain Valley Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
