He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Therrien and Raymond Therrien; and his brother David Therrien of Whitehall. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Therrien (Marin); his daughters, Jessica Scheuler, Whitnie Darrow (Josh) and Erin Therrien; his grandchildren, Olivia Darrow and Noah Therrien; and his siblings, Susan Harke (Paul), Danny Therrien (Sandy) and Mark Therrien (Christine). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Matthew's memory may be made to the Johnstown Area Community Center or the Mountain Valley Hospice, who his family would like to thank for their care and support.
