He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hafter and Selma Hafter (Cohen); and his brother Howard Hafter. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Hafter (D'Onofrio); his daughters, Jenna Capezzuti (Christopher) and Sarah Moore (Brett); and his brother Bruce Hafter. He is also survived by three grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Knesseth Israel Synagogue.
