He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Van and F. Anna Van Hoesen Van; his brothers, David, Donald, Dana and Albert; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Kosiba, Sr. and Francis "Bob" Motyl, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Motyl Van Deusen; his children, Charles Van Deusen, Jr. of Broadalbin, Russell Van Deusen (Ginny) of Saratoga and Kerry Butler (Peter) of Amsterdam; his granddaughters, Courtney, Caitlyn Van Deusen and Thea "Chipmunk" Butler; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Motyl, Margaret Kosiba and Noreen Van Deusen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Brennan Memorial Humane Society or to the Montgomery County SPCA, both in care of the funeral home.
