He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Penk and Winifred Penk (Craver); and his son Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Penk (Hotaling); his sons, Timothy, Edward, David and Daniel (Marie); his daughter-in-law Kathy Penk; his stepchildren, Douglas Dugan (Jane), Denise Lang (David) and Pamela Sadlowski (John); his siblings, Ruth Pelton and Raymond Penk (Veronica); and also Rocket. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
