She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Jessica Lynn McEwen; her stepfather William Dewey; her birth father James Matthews; her sister-in-law Carol Matthews (James); her husband Daniel McEwen; her daughter Amber Leigh McEwen Gosart; her granddaughter Kathryn Elizabeth Gosart; her mother Dorothy Kovitch Dewey; and her siblings, Shawn Dewey, Joan Dewey Grimaldi (James), Alice Juby (Don), James Matthews and William Dewey (Michelle). She was also cherished by ses many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
