He was predeceased by: his mother Amelia Edgar; and his brother Walter. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Lare (Dixon); his children, Edward Lare, Kathy Horyczun and Bethany Bingay; and his grandchildren, Chrissy Bailey, Michael Bingay, James Bingay, Eddie Lare Jr. and Theodore Horyczun IV.
