He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton, Sr. Cooper and Ulva Cooper (Clapper); and his brother Milton "Sonny" Cooper, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Stannard-Cooper; his stepchildren, Lloyd Stannard (Rosemary), Michael Stannard (Carol) and Joyce Merwin (Daniel); and his siblings, Wanda Cooper, Neil Cooper and Richard Cooper. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
