He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Gardner and Ruth Gardner (Cook); and his brothers, Ronald, Gene, Clint and Dave Gardner.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane; his daughters, Dawn Foster (Mike) of Massena, Kerry Davis of Massena and Terry Thompson of Massena; his grandchildren, Breanna, Taylor Foster and Makenzie Thompson; his siblings, Donna Wells (Jim) of Gouverneur, Louis John Gardner (Bonnie) of Morristown and Wayne Gardner of Florida; and his pets, Pepper and TJ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
