He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Payne and Gladys Payne (Baker); his siblings, Marjorie Hadley, Ronald and Harold Payne; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Joyce Skelly and Thomas Andrew Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sheehan; his children, David, Paula Payne of Canisteo, Ronald and Judy; his grandchildren, Danielle Miller (Lester), Becca Evans (Ben), David Payne (Laura) and Christopher (Diane); his friends, Kelly VanGorden (Tom), AJ Skelly, Anna Hasse Skelly (Tiffany), Mary Tisei (Mark), Amanda Lucas (Brian), Abby Shaw (Kenny) and Andrew Payne (Allie); his sisters, Phyllis Gerringer, Rosemary VanSkiver and Carolyn Townsend; and his brother-in-law Robert Sheehan (Cynthia). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
