He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Platt and Doris E. Platt (Williams); and his brothers, Donald, William, Jr. and Frank H. Platt.
He is survived by: his son John Platt; and his sisters, Diane Isbell, Verda Campbell, Wilma Naylor, Mable Shaffer and Nancy Platt. He is also survived by many nephews; and nieces.
