He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred J. DaRin and Nellie DaRin (Strader); and his brother Alfred J. "Chip" DaRin, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy DaRin (Root) of Jamesville; his daughters, Dr. Meghan Purple (Andrew) of Cincinnati, OH and Alaina DaRin of East Syracuse; his grandchildren, Bryce Bernadette Purple and Kolbe Thomas Purple of Cincinnati, OH.; and his parents-in-law, James Root (Susan) of Bridgeport, NY, Patricia Howe (Ronald) of North Syracuse, David Root (Penny) of Cicero and Donald Root (Mary Pat) of Clay.
