He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold H. Byers and Ruth C. Byers; his wife Dr. Virginia Byers; and his son Jim Byers (Melanie). He is survived by: his daughter Judy Burgess (Todd); his grandchildren, Ken Byers, Jonathan Williams (Hannah), Lucia Williams and Ginny Burgess; and his great grandchild Eli.
