He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tien Peilin and Dean; his wife Julia; his daughters, Anita and Ellen; and his grandson Jack.
In 2020, he wrote about the efficacy of N-95 masks against airborne COVID particles; and as recent as 2021, at the age 90, he drafted his eighth and final book.
