He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Sr. Steen and Helyn Gustavson Steen; his stepbrother Ian McCleud; and his sisters, Sally Schlemmer and Lesley Reisbord.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Schaumberg Steen; his children, William S. Steen III (Julia) of Bemus Point, Jane K. Steen of Jacksonville Beach, Fla. and Sandra A. Weston (Philip) of Seneca, S. C.; his grandchildren, Grant D. of Seneca, S. C., Cade W. of Seneca, S. C. and Ava L. Weston of Seneca, S. C.; and his daughter Alyssa L. Steen of Bluffton, S. C.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
