He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Sr. Thompson and Geraldine Carter Thompson; his son Timothy Biggs; and his grandson Allen Basham, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandy James; his children, Allen Basham, Sr., Degie Basham, Troy Ogden, Monique Jackson and Sonja Thompson; his brothers, Brian Thompson and Dennis Thompson; and his grandchildren, Allyn, Jazmin, Tyreke, Brandon, Starla, Michael, Jasmine, Tiara, Kamesha, Jesse, Marquell, Marquawn and Ellis. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
