He was predeceased by: his parents, James Currie and Jessie Currie of Jamestown; his brother Andrew (Doris); his wife Marilyn Stewart Currie; and his caregivers, Jennifer Roller and James.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Proia, Kevin (Katherine), Bonnie Fish and Scott (Lisa) of Virginia; and his friend Nancy Schuyler. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members, and many friends.
