Helen M. Merrill Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen M. Merrill of Jamestown, New York, who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Swiniarski and Sophie Swiniarski; and her husband Norman Merrill. She is survived by: her sons, David Merrill (Terry) of Albion, PA and Mark Merrill (Leticia) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Kristina Trotty (Taylor) of Georgetown, TX, Sean Merrill of Kingston, NY and Lindsay Russell (Aubrey) of Jamestown; and her great grandchildren, Archer Trotty, Damon Trotty, Sofia Trotty and Rose Marie Russell.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Christ First United Methodist Church (663 Lakeview Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lake View Cemetery N (907 Lakeview Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701). Helen and her husband, Norm, were at the theatre each day until COVID prevented them from doing so.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen's name may be made to the Lucille Ball Little Theatre, 18 E. 2nd Street, Jamestown, NY 14701.
