He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wright Painter; his children, David Painter (Lisa) of Jamestown, Melissa Painter of Toms River, NJ and Jeffrey Painter (Elizabeth) of Carrollton, VA; his grandchildren, Robert McKever, Donavan Sanchez and Nina Bellucci; his great grandchild Destiny McKever; and his brother Robert Painter (Blanca) of Lynchburg, VA..
