With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Otander (Jamestown, New York), who passed away on January 14, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Scholin, Sr. and Miranda King Scholin Hitchcock; her stepfather Ford Hitchcock; her son Randall S. Otander II; her brother Harold Scholin, Jr.; her stepsiblings, Mildred Larson and Richard Butts; and her nephews, John Larson and Greg Larson.
She is survived by: her children, Jodelle Nelson Hess (Scott) of Lawrenceville, PA and Jeffrey Nelson (Christine) of Coal Township, PA; her grandchildren, Matthew Montondo (Jane), Lindsay Cochran (Nick), Andrew Nelson and Travis Nelson; her great grandchildren, Hadley Green, Noah Cochran, Sylas Cochran and Ruby Jane Nelson; her pet Milly; and her close friends, Richard Benedetto, Barbara Johnson, Chrissy Vangeli and Rebecca Fardink.
