It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie A. Woods of Jamaica, New York, born in Louisville, Alabama, who passed away on April 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Willie; and his sisters, Mary Williams (Willie) and Sara Ann Walker. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline (Kimbrough); his children, Angela Coleman (Roosevelt), Barbara A. Woods, Tania Woods-Campbell (Dana), Carla Woods-Rattray, Willie R. Woods Jr., Palm Beach, Vernell "Jay" Lott (Gryphan) and Jamaica; his sisters, Mary Ann Chambers (David), Pearl Lee Chambers, Pearlean Scott (Anthony) and Ruby Woods; and his brother-in-law Willie Walker. He is also survived by Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
