He is survived by: his wife Verta Mae; his children, Kevin Eugene Gales (Jacqueline) and Eloise Gales-Abdullah (Tariq); his sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Marion C. Mitchell; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Gales, Erdine Kearney, Dorothy Johnson, Arthur Glen Smith (Joyce) and Wallace Smith (Mary); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Marcus Gales (Fannie), Joshua Gales, Tariq Isaiah Abdullah and Jada Alexis Abdullah; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Jeremiah Gales and Natalie Gales. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
