He is survived by: his wife Julie Claxton; his children, Chantia Claxton, Alexis Claxton, Jennifer Claxton and Merlynn Claxton Lindsay Claxton; his grandchildren, Justin, Jasmin, Marcus, Isaac, Xavier and Aaron; his siblings, Lydia Bell, Annette Thomas and Kecia Amey; and his brothers-in-law, Desmond Worrell and Theodore Thomas.
