It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy J Powell Jr. (Jamaica, New York), who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwendolyn Powell and Leroy Powell; and his siblings, Rodney Boyce, Phillip Powell, Ruth Ann Brodie and Lucille Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Billingslea; his son Leroy Powell III; his grandson Adam Amir-Ransom Powell; his sisters, Adrienne Towles (Anthony), Patrice Thompson (Michael) and Maria Fuller (Mack); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Brodie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, state regulations mandate that total attendance is limited to 50 people (including staff) until further notice.
