We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2022, at the age of 97, Evelyn Hickson (Jamaica, New York), born in Long Branch, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Vernon Franklin Wade; her friends, Iris Crews, Patricia Dantzler, Karen Montgomery and Adrienne Wilson-Pounds; her cousins, Bruce, Ebony Kirkland, Jeffrey Kirkland and Kym Bostic; her mother Margaret Kirkland; her nephew Albert Whatley; and also Toi Troy.

Her commitment to service through her sorority and Bethany's Virginia Club did not waver until the global pandemic and health challenges forced her to slow down.
