In loving memory of Anita W. Mayers (Jamaica, New York), born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who departed this world on September 25, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her mother Willie Walston; her son Jeffrey Allan Mayers; her sisters, Claudia, Shirley and Darnella; her niece Robin; and her nephew Dentral.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Cynthia; her grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey and Tianna; and her godson Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. Foster Phillips Funeral Home, Inc. (179-24 Linden Blvd, Queens, NY 11434). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Anita was a woman of very strong Baptist faith, routinely attending Sunday service while donating her time and money to give back to her community.
