He was predeceased by: his wife Goldie Mae Conwell; and his brother Herbert (Joan). He is survived by: his children, Herbert, Winston, George, Albert II, Scott, Candace, Vanessa and Victoria; his daughter-in-law Karen; his grandchildren, Kenneth and Thomas; and his brother George Nesbitt Benjamin (Jean). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relative and wonderful friends.
As a recipient of a Ford Foundation Fellowship, he earned a Profession Diploma in Urban Administration in 1969.
