It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornel Mergeani of Jamaica Estates, New York, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantin Mergeani and Agora Mergeani; and his brother Stelian. He is survived by: his daughter Anca; his significant other Ileana; his son-in-law Mark; his grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; his brother Mihai; his sisters-in-law, Geta Serban and Nezira Mergeani; his niece Athena Ribigan; and his nephew Robert Mergeani.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to St. Francis Hospital would be appreciated.
